The Question: Where is your community?

Are you "living your best life"? Communities can be built and communities can be found. We're here to talk about what makes a community feel like home and what to look for when choosing a home sweet home.

Building Community

We're amidst building a community. The REFamily. Our Real Estate Family.

Because they are more than just a client to us. When you work with us, we're together for the long haul, for better or worse. We are there by your side to walk with you through all things Real Estate.

When you're looking for a home sweet home you're looking to find your place, where you belong, where your family can grow, where they can feel connected, safe, and thrive.

What makes you feel happy? You want to love living in a community where others do too.
— Lori Alvarez

But besides our virtual, extended, and created communities, what types of living communities are there?

Three Main Types of Communities

Each community has its own experience to share. So it’s important to understand the differences between the three types of communities.

  1. Rural:

    • Homes are spread far apart

    • Many people picture farmland communities

    • Often have large properties with plants and animals on the property.

    • Generally small-town feel, and limited workplaces and large buildings.

    • Surrounded by nature

    • Often far from large shopping centers, schools, and other essentials.

  2. Urban:

    • Homes are close together

    • Many people envision apartments and highrise buildings

    • Often has plenty of job opportunities and large companies.

    • Community parks and gardens are available because many don’t have a personal outdoor space

    • Located near schools, shopping centers, and many things to do.

  3. Suburban

    • A mix of Rural and Urban

    • A common type of community now

    • Popular for families

    • Many have long commute times

    • Many communities have an HOA (Home Owners Association)

Deciding Where To Choose

Wherever you decide to live, think about all sides of what you and/or your family desire.

What will allow you all to thrive?

Before deciding, ask yourself:

Are you living your best life? Are you in love with waking up each morning? Do you love each moment you're in?

Take a moment and write down a few moments that make you happy. And begin to add more of those moments to your life.

Coming out of the pandemic

We are beginning to re-emerge into the community. To people. To togetherness. Many of us have changed how we see the world, how we embrace communities. It’s going to feel strange, but the community is what makes us people. It’s what makes us whole. That’s why so many of us gravitated towards online connection—Facetiming, Zoom, Social Groups, Virtual Events, and so many other beautiful ways to stay connected during the Pandemic.

Reflect on what last year has been like learning and discovering different communities virtually.

If you're looking to find the community where you belong, give us a message. We'd love to help you find your home sweet home in your best community.
